Safety/Risk Management
In keeping with the principles of DOE Order 413.3A, EnergX uses a systematic risk management process is an integral element of how we manage any project and Performance Management Baseline. Our 5-phase risk strategy is based on a formal assessment of known sources of risks and opportunities.
EnergX’s Project Manager on any project has overall responsibility for risk management with the support of the Corporate Risk Review Board. The Board helps to define the risk management approach for implementing these 5 phases of the risk management program and reviews the Risk Register and risk mitigation strategies for adequacy and feasibility, and to ensure consistency across the project.
As part of any project, EnergX utilizes a continuous process of risk identification and mitigation. Our Risk Management Plan builds on the current DOE validated system that uses a bottoms-up (activity by activity) analysis of uncertainty for planned work activities coupled with a top-down (big picture) assessment of internal and external risks.
